Mayor’s Message

The Town of Bay de Verde is a rural coastal community located at the tip of the Bay de Verde Peninsula, a community with a strong attachment to the fishery that has sustained our town for centuries from the resources of the sea.

As a Town “with a view” both from its picturesque natural landscape to its efforts to maintain its character from its strong cultural heritage, our community continues to move forward. The strength of our community is derived from the resilience and perseverance of our residents who continue and freely offer countless hours of volunteer service through various organized committees and groups for the benefit of our community and the surrounding area.

On behalf of our Town Council and myself, I extend a warm welcome to all visitors and congratulate our residents for their efforts and community service.
